This series was emitted by the factory "Partagás" with reason of being carried out in Spain the First International Congress of vitolphilia, that took place in the cities of Madrid and Toledo the days October 13 and 14, 1989, with the attendance of 107 congress members.

“To commemorate the Congress three cigar factories donated to the A.V.E. (Spanish Vitolphilic Association) with series that A.V.E., in turn, distributed free of charge to the congress members. The series was: a) A series of flags formed by ten rings, Partagas brand…” (Taken from the book published by A.V.C. containing the records of Congress.)

The event had a wide publicity by means of press, mainly from the city of Toledo. Among others: "El Dia", October 14-15; "La Voz del Tajo", October 14; And "Ya", October 14-16.

The flags belong to the countries with more vitolphilic tradition: Belgium, Cuba, France, Germany, Holland, Mexico,

Portugal, Spain and United States of America.

Esta serie fue emitida por la fábrica “Partagás” con motivo de efectuarse en España el Primer Congreso Vitolfílico Internacional, que tuvo lugar en las ciudades de Madrid y Toledo los días 13 y 14 de octubre de 1989, con la asistencia de 107 congresistas.

“Para conmemorar el Congreso tres entidades tabaqueras obsequiaron a la A.V.E. (Asociación Vitolfílica Española) con sendas series, que la A.V.E., a su vez, distribuyó gratuitamente entre los congresistas. Fueron éstas: a) Serie “Banderas”, de la marca Partagás, compuesta de diez piezas…” (Tomado del libro editado por la A.V.C. conteniendo las actas del Congreso).

El evento contó con una amplia cobertura de los medios de prensa, principalmente de la Ciudad de Toledo. Entre otros: “El Día”, 14 y 15 de octubre; “La Voz del Tajo”, 14 de octubre; y “Ya”, 14 y 16 de octubre.

Las banderas pertenecen a los países de mayor tradición vitolfílica: Alemania, Bélgica, Cuba, España, Estados Unidos, Francia, Holanda, México y Portugal.
