CONTENT

1. Brand “Magnolia”. Inner label. 1947-1956. In the image: A magnolia flower, tree native of America and Asia. Litho stones printed. Golden with brass. Embossed. Image size: 5 X 3½ Inches. "Magnolia” brand was registered by Mr. Alfredo Selgas in April 29, 1886. In 1947 was registered by Mr. Benigno Iglesias Nunez. Later it was passed to Mrs. Isolina Cuervo. The last proprietor was Mr. Francisco Farach Rodriguez. He registered the brand in February 23, 1956. The brand has remained discontinued for many years.

2. Brand “Vegas Robaina”. Inner label. Year 1997. In the image: Portrait of the proprietor of the "Robaina" country estate. Landscape with tobacco plantation and curing houses. Offset printed. Golden by metallic stamping. Embossed. Image size: 5½ X 4 inch. The brand was thrown to the market in 1997 by the Corporation "Habanos, S.A." as homage to Mr. Alejandro Robaina (1919-2010), one of the best tobacco croppers of Cuba. He was elected as “Habanos Year Man” in 1998.

3. Brand “Beck”. Inner label. Pre 1950. Image: Two horses and a cigar. Offset printed. Image size: 3¾ X 2¾ Inch. This brand was created in 1906 by the firm “C.E. Beck y Cia.”, on Figuras Street with the corner to Lealtad, Havana. In the decade of 1940 it was registered by gentlemen "Martinez y Cia.", from Real Street number 200, Marianao, Havana. The brand has remained discontinued for many years.

4. Brand "J.F. Rocha". Inner label. Pre 1940. In the image: The shield of Havana, medals, tobacco leaves. Offset printed. Golden with ink. Image size: 4½ X 3¾ Inch. The signature "J.F. Rocha y Cia." was integrated in 1893 by the gentlemen Jose F. Rocha and Rafael Garcia Marquez, makers of cigars of the brand "El Crepusculo" and other brands. In 1910 the factory was located on San Miguel Street number 100, Havana. In 1940 was on the number 364 of the same street. The brand has remained discontinued for many years.

5. Brand “Habanos”. Inner label. 1961. In the image: Country landscape with riders, plantation of tobacco, cabin and peasants. Offset printed. Center image size: 2¾ X 3 Inches. The brand "Habanos" was thrown to the market by the Cuban Tobacco Enterprise (CUBATABACO) in an intent to substitute the Cuban traditional brands. The new brand was not successful and, after a short time, it was retired from the market. The brand has remained discontinued for many years.

6. Brand “Bolivar”. Outer label. Pre 1960. In the image: Emblem of the brand. Offset printed. Golden with ink. Label size: 5 X 1¼ Inch. The brand "Bolivar" was registered in 1921 by "Jose Fernandez Rocha y Compania", as evident homage to the South American liberator. In 1940 it was bought by "Cifuentes Pego y Cia”, owner of the cigar factory "Partagas."

1. Marca “Magnolia”. Vista. 1947-1956. Imagen: Flor de la Magnolia, árbol originario de América y Asia. Impresa con piedras litográficas. Dorados con bronce. Con relieves. Tamaño de la imagen: 12.7 X 8.7 cm. La marca “Magnolia” fue registrada por Alfredo Selgas el 29 de abril de 1886 y en 1947 por Benigno Iglesias Núñez, quien posteriormente la traspasó a Isolina Cuervo. Su último propietario fue Francisco Farach Rodríguez, que la registró el 23 de febrero de 1956. Fabricación extinguida.

2. Marca “Vegas Robaina”. Vista. 1997. Imagen: Retrato del propietario de la vega “Robaina”; paisaje con vega de tabaco y casas de curar. Impresión Offset. Dorados por estampación metálica. Con relieves. Tamaño de la imagen: 14.3 X 10.5 cm. La marca fue lanzada al mercado en 1997 por la Corporación “Habanos, S.A.” como homenaje a Don Alejandro Robaina Pereda (1919-2010), uno de los mejores cosecheros de tabaco de Cuba, el cual fue nombrado “Hombre Habano del Año” en 1998.

3. Marca “Beck”. Bofetón. Anterior a 1950. Imagen: Dos caballos y un puro. Impresión offset. Tamaño de la imagen: 9.3 X 7.5 cm. Marca creada en 1906 por la firma “C.E. Beck y Cía.” en la calle Figuras esquina a Lealtad, La Habana. En la década de 1940 se encontraba registrada a nombre de los señores Martínez y Cía., de calle Real número 200, Marianao, Habana. Fabricación extinguida.

4. Marca “J.F. Rocha”. Bofetón. Anterior a 1940. Imagen: Escudo de La Habana, medallas, hojas de tabaco. Impresión offset. Dorados con tinta oro. Tamaño de la imagen: 11.5 X 9.7 cm. La firma “J.F. Rocha y Cía.” estaba integrada en 1893 por los señores José F. Rocha y Rafael García Márquez, fabricantes de habanos de la marca “El Crepúsculo” y otras. En 1910 la fábrica se encontraba ubicada en la calle San Miguel número 100, La Habana, y en 1940 en el número 364 de la misma calle. Fabricación extinguida.

5. Marca “Habanos”. Bofetón.1961. Imagen: Paisaje campestre, con jinetes, vega de tabaco, bohío y campesinos. Impresión offset. Tamaño de la imagen central: 6.8 X 7.2 cm. La marca “Habanos” fue lanzada al mercado por la Empresa Cubana del Tabaco (CUBATABACO) en un intento por sustituir las marcas tradicionales cubanas. No tuvo éxito y fue retirada del mercado poco tiempo después. Fabricación extinguida.

6. Marca “Bolívar”. Costero. Anterior a 1960. Imagen: Logotipo de la marca. Impresión offset. Dorados con tinta oro. Tamaño de la pieza: 12.9 X 3.3 cm. La marca “Bolívar” fue registrada en 1921 por la firma “José Fernández Rocha y Compañía” como evidente homenaje al libertador suramericano. En 1940 fue adquirida por la firma “Cifuentes Pego y Cía.”, propietaria de la fábrica “Partagás”.
